Lessons from my Hairbrush

Oh, where is my hairbrush? Oh where is my hairbrush? Oh where, oh where, oh where, oh where, oh… Where is my hairbrush?
Singing to the hair brush song by veggie tales

Hey guys!!! How are you all doing? I was MIA for a while, apologies for that๐Ÿ™ˆ and thank you for your patience.

For two weeks now I’ve been a little bit under the weather but am recovering by the grace of God.

I know the title is a little bit funny but I know you guys know how frustrating it is when you start looking for stuffs… yesterday I went out to get Airtime for my monthly subscription, I’ve not left the house since I became ill. Okay then, I had my bath, got dressed and then it was time for my hair, I searched for my hairbrush everywhere in the house for close to one hour. I started palpitating because of the medicine am taking, it makes me weak sometimes.. So I sat down to rest a little.

As I was sitting and trying to brainstorm to think of where I could possibly have kept it i then remembered I’ve seen it a couple of times when I wasn’t looking for it, then I decided to check a part of my room where I use or frequent a lot and there it was on the bookshelf.
Okay, not like I’ve been reading truth be told๐Ÿ˜œ but it was directly on top of my diary where I normally write down my thoughts, ideas and day dreams just like Jenifa’s diary you know… Lol. I also keep my charger there too so I guess I could call it one of the important part of my room. But I really can’t figure how the hairbrush got there… Don’t ask me? ๐Ÿ˜‚

I brushed my hair and went out to get the airtime. But this funny event got me thinking about life and what my own hairbrush taught me.

So let’s ponder on those things…

I searched everywhere for this hairbrush but couldn’t find it until I got to that one place I always go to and that is somewhere not far from me.. Often times we search for things that are just there with us. We search for love, friendship, money, job, happiness and fulfillment else where, while there’s one person there who has been trying to get your attention and love, there’s creativity in you waiting to be used, there are things you can do to fetch yourself money and job. God is always with us and yet we seek joy and fulfillment else where.
Don’t get me wrong I know everyone else preaches this but mind you there is a little twist to it though…

These are some important factors to consider. I needed this hairbrush to achieve a particular goal…He or she might be there but do you really need them in your life, do they teach, motivate and inspire you, do they love what you love, do they support you, do you struggle to fit in when you are around them, do they make you happy and do they bring out the best in you, do they love you? Because trust me love is not one sided.
The brush has been there and I haven’t used it in a while until I needed it I found it…until you start living your life and start working towards your dream you can’t find someone who has the same drive as you, you can’t find money and you can’t find that dream job if you ain’t searching . Your talent is there waiting to be used.. Don’t bury your gift like the foolish servant in the parable of talents (mathew 25:14-30) He was given one talent and he hid it instead of making use of it.

Your gifts will bring you before great men

Proverbs 18:16

Also take for instance you love adventures but you haven’t gone for adventures in a while now.. So how do you make friends who loves what you love… Guess this is speaking to me too.

If you have that one important thing or someone (people) -use it, cherish them and if possible show them how much you care about them.

Like am looking at my hairbrush am like OH MY HAIRBRUSH

Hope you loved my small story and discoveries…i learnt a lesson hope you did๐Ÿ˜‚
